Found a HUGE Cauliflower Fungus yesterday up in the back of Chwk River area. Anyone interested in some? I have way too much to use myself. :) Very tasty!

I just googled it, Put it in google immages they pop right up


Interesting looking thing, i guess there isnt too many mushrooms you can mix that up with

I've eaten those before. Slice it up and fry it in butter. They have a mild lemon taste..really nice.

It is the only mushroom that looks like that. You can go to the BC forestry site and look it up and it's one of the ones they recommend searching for in BC forests as it is so hard to mix up with a poisonous type. Any takers? I can't use it all and not really sure how to preserve it and retain the texture and taste.

Crazy looking thing eh? hg if you are in to canning friends just did up some chantrels and it worked pretty good. Other than that you can dry any shroom to preserve it the Chinese are in to that big time, just pop them in sauces or soups to rehydrate. Other than that I'm too far away for your kind offer. lol

I have shared the mushroom out to several peeps now :) Thanks to those who came by to pick some up! Going to cut up the rest into spaghetti sauce now.
