Hello all, Great to see some awesome bucks harvested! Normally I hunt on Vancouver Island but I have recently moved up near Smithers. I'm looking for some direction on a good place to hunt on Crown Land. While there are decent deer numbers around 6-8 there is a lot of private land. I am wondering if anyone is willing to point out a fail proof area to hunt as I have only seen 1 decent buck up this way and he was in town :S needless to say my freezer is basically empty, besides the grouse :D... I'm interested in heading down towards Quesnel or Merritt looking for a decent mulie.

You could try around the east end of Francois Lake....we see quite a few deer around there in the spring when headed out on our fishing trips???
