Well I decided to go for a little drive yesterday and check out the area I had been scouting my moose. I have been 4 years learning the patterns of the moose and dear movements through this area. Spotted several cow moose and calves as well as whitetail and mulie dear. Best of all it's 1/2 hour from my door.

I had planed on building a blind or 3 in the area. Then I had my heartache and all plans canceled. So like I said I ventured up to the area and not 50 yards from one of my planed blind sights are the remains of a moose.

What can a guy do, went back to my Tracker and checked out my other areas. No tracks in the snow leading into my other honey hole.

Most people realize nobody suggested a blind was required.

Bear, good to see you are getting out again.

I haven't been taking anything with me other then my17 Mach II or the 16ga for grouse. I know if I did come across a moose I'd be stupid enough to shoot lol.
I'll get him next year when I have more strength.

Beeugle no worries I have my 257 Roberts for moose, not that a 16ga slug wouldn't stop Mr Moose.

A shotgun slug will not stop Mr Moose if you follow the law. No shotties on moosies.

Yes I know, was just stating that a 16ga slug would stop a moose. Maybe I should have said " If it was legal to shoot a moose with a shotgun, then I'm sure a 16ga slug would stop him".........better :-)
