I hope you've a truck you don't mind scratching. This weekend last year there was a largish rock slide not 3 km off the road, so before I beat my new truck up, I walked the first 1km or so, found three more smaller slides, who knows what was beyond that? It's very nice area if you can get past the canyon part in the beginning. Unless there was an industrial need to open the road, be ready for some work.

Also keep in mind that google maps are from quite a few years back i believe. Something to keep in mind..

Any reason you wouldn't want to drive the extra hour to access all the great hunting around Merritt?

I dont know merrit at all.. i dont even know where to start..
pm me a little more info would be awesome..
Also i figured a 4 point would be a lot less likely, but merritt does sound more appealing.

I think more info would be provided if spoilage from your employment was offered up. :-D

Merrit would be a good bet. Head up around Logan Lake. What do you have to lose. You have to start somewhere, and it is a good time right now to see more animals considering the rut is well on its way.

Brother inlaw hunted there about a month ago and no mention of slides. I hunted there last year early spring and found that there were not many slashes for quite a ways in , but I am told if you go real far in that there are more openings

I spent quite a bit of time in and around the 25km mark. Never did connect but found a spot where someone else had.

Apparently the Coq was an absolute mess today. Hope you decided to head up via the Fraser Canyon. I pulled the pin on a trip to the coast today. Guess I'll still have a chance to find a spike fork!
