A little rough towards the head of the lake last time I went through there last year. Needed to use my 4x4.

I was up it to 12 km two weeks ago and the road had just been graded.

I was up to the upper end of the lake onto the Lillooet Forest Service Road on October 29 2011. I drive a f-350 with spanking new tires and I had to 4 wheel part of the way after the 56 km mark. I shook my canopy loose and I threw balancing weights of the front two tires. My back now aches and I stutter a lot :-) But other than that the road is fine. There are some very sharp rocks on the road so make sure your tires are good and that your spare is good too. My friend lost three tires and had to borrow another from a friend the same weekend on that road.

Rode my motor bike from the fish hatchery to about half way down Lilloette Lake at the beginning of Oct. The road was in great shape then.

With the cooling temps, expect snow on the higher parts, chains may be a good idea
