I am wondering if anybody can tell me some good spots to hunt in the Skagit area. I was already down to Ross Lake and saw nothing at all. I am wondering about the other side of Silverhope Lake, how are the roads over there as I don't have a 4x4 just a 2WD truck. I don't want anyone to give up their spot or anything but just some helpful info would be nice as I planning on going there next weekend.

Thanks

theres deer everywhere in the skagit just get off the roads and you should luck out... its alot easier hunting if you get a few inches of snow in there

Use the main road, go into the park and hike all the trails that head in the forest..they are in there. your vehicle wont make it anywhere on the 1 road that is across the lake. I have only been part of 3 succesful deer hunts in 6 years. 1 of them was a huge blackie. Check my skagit post. Lots of people hate on the skagit as its busy with hunters fishermen and just people hanging out shooting guns and making a mess. You have to do some hiking.
