Heading to Chilliwack Valley - Blacktail Hunt

Hey, heading out this weekend for a Blacktail in the Chilliwack Valley and was wondering if anybody's been out there lately? If so, how r the roads in the area and how is the snow near Flora Peak?

Also, have the bucks moved down and r the bears still moving?

Any info or tips in that area would be much appreciated, thanks!

Just so those interested know, a good six inches of snow at the top and hiking is a bit treacherous without some good equipment. No luck, but great hike.

yeah .. i was there last weekend too .. ran into "Rock" from the message boards here. SNow was down .. all i seen was a bear and a grouse. We persued the bear but they run much faster then I do uphill. :( Hopefully going to head out that way again this weekend. If not .. I got my sights on a few spots in the valley for next year.

Not much of a story though, he just walked in front of me when I was driving home. 20 yard shot and a good sized body.
