i love the jail time during hunting season!! canada needs to have similar justice. if someone did that in canada the penalties would be way less.

the only problem is if they are poachers are they really gonna be concerned about hunting in deer season? Kinda stupid IMO, would like to see them get 4 years not 4 seasons.

I am with you the media keeps pumping out good stories , I have a friend that is a antler buyer and they pay per the pound ????????????? I guess the elk in my avatar is worth 50 000 dollars any buyers out there...........when dealing with the media they run with all the negatives to make the story believeable remember ratings is everything in the media world and do agree with the fines nicely done by the judge... my two cents worth

Well, I'm not saying I disagree. But at the same time, if you got a deer in the back of your truck and it's not even close to be hunting season you can't really explain that away. I mean how many of you ask to see another hunters cut tag for the buck he brags to you about????

It's not a perfect solution, but definitely better then alot of other places.

Stupid sentence, so now they only have 9 months of the year to poach!!! Think poachers care about seasons??? They already took their hunting licences for life so whats the importance of locking them up for hunting season? I say lock em up for 4 years.

If we are going to protect our wildlife from illegal harvest we need to set an example and lock the bastads up for life. There is not a sentence in the world short of life that will stop guys like these from killing another animal. Just like the artical stated they almost poached the area dry.....doesn't take long to really screw up game management in an area and screw us all from LEGALLY being allowed to hunt. The sentence is a sad example of justice.............
