Not much happening at "Kokanee". Don't think they are even open. Grab a Backroads map book and check out the forestry rec sites. They been revamping some of the ones out by Sugar Lake.

The lodge at Sugar Lake was closed when I was there in August.
I would go further up highway six and go up Christian valley road, more game less people, be prepared for snow though

check out www.sitesandtrailsbc.ca (http://www.sitesandtrailsbc.ca) it has all the Recreation Sites on it. Also, just a reminder, there is no such thing as a Forestry Recreation Site or Program anymore, finished in 2005.

Just stop by at the Visitor Information Center in lumby, get some maps of the Forest service roads. I was there last weekend, and there was only some snow on the top of the mountains. There is a Franks store at around Sugar lake road, they will guide you in the right direction.
