From the reg's.

pg. 43 ★ Motor Vehicle Closed Areas
★ Lac du Bois - Dewdrop in MUs 3-28

and 3-29. See Map C16.

Dewdrop/Rosseau WMA (MU 3-29).
See Map C18

Now I don't see anything about no hunting.

From BC parks:

Look at the Compatible Resource And Recreation Uses at the end of this WMU.

You are allowed to hunt, but as was noted above, it's a no vehicle zone. Pretty easy access though, mountain bike with a trailer on the back would get the job done for deer if you were so inclined. Another option is to hunt the breaks up from the lake towards the dew drop. Honestly there are animals in there, but it's a wintering ground...wait til theirs a lot of snow at higher elevations then give it a shot. There is a small area in there that is fenced and has signed that is a no hunting area, but I have never seen anything in there anyways :)

There is a main access road in there you are allowed to use, you just cant drive off it.

That's right, I should have been clearer about that. Let us know if you see anything worth dropping the hammer on!

That would be the tranquille ecological reserve. Hunting is prohibited in all ecological reserves. It isn't that big, but if you're going to hunt the area, you should know where it is.

keep an eye out for sheep too.

Yes that's a good point, plenty of sheep around that you can look at, unless you happened to win the Kamloops Lake Sheep Lottery. I have always wondered about the reserve to be honest...I understand the no vehicles and no wood cutting, etc, but the purpose of the whole no hunting and fishing thing always confused me, because it's not as though those activities are destructive to the ecosystem (when proper wildlife management is practiced). In fact, like fire, some consumption can be beneficial to an ecosystem, not destructive.
