No rutting yet in Region 3-32?

I took an okay sized 2x3 buck in Region 3-32 by the end of Oct. To my surprise, the buck still had a normal neck and was by himself. The other bucks I saw were same thing. The necks weren't swollen. I didn't see many does either. Things might be changing now with the dropping temperature. But is that a little too late for mule deer in that area? Just different from what I had seen in the previous years.

I usually dont see the mule deer rut starting until after the 10th of november.. All the big boys are in full rut by last week of november. Just through my experiences!

heard of a group of 5 bucks together 4 4points and a big 3 point on nov 1 last year on oct 31 i chased a nice 5x4 mulie he was rutting stunk really bad then passed on a heavy 3x3 he had a huge neck and stunk i think its the weather

I start seeing swollen neck begining of NOV. but that doesnt mean they are rutting already. rut isn't till later
