Nice buck, Steepndeep. Not sure FD would have dragged it that far though. 20 yards could make a guy sweat.

I have stared at it for hours and showed it to my hunting buddies and the best we can come up with that it is starting a drop tine. Yeah, it is a wierd one. I had to double check its rump patch and its ears before I anchored him.

sakohunter, are you shooting a 300 savage?.

You got the savage 99 part right, but the caliber is .308 with 150 grn bullets. I wanted a thick bush rifle, and the 99 with a 2-7x32 comes up fast and does the job. I haven't found a Finnwolf yet still looking.

From a few years back now. Was in a hurry to Get 'R Done and be off to Alberta. The 40 year old single proved itself well that day! Twice in 10 minutes that is!

I am thinking that we have to get it scored right away, if we wait the 60 day drying period it may not be visible :)

Anyone know any good scorers in the EK??? I don't think it would take more than aminute or two

Shot this little fart 4 or 5 years ago. Really good eating deer. He was filling up on blueberry's and huckleberry's when I shot him.

Quick November weekend hunt, up Island, a few years back."1st one gets it!",I said,as I needed some meat that year.Looked at this weird little spike-fork,and decided to take'em.He wheeled up after the shot and flopped over. The bigger two point walked out to have a look-see.Both were very good eating bucks.
