Just a heads up, it is illegal to buy or sell game meat.

And just so you know the good members of HBC don't condone or partake in illegal activities under the wildlife act.

Getting started is easier and cheaper than you think. Find out about your local CORE program and sign up. The rest will fall into place.

Thanks for your responses y'all.

Why should it be illegal though? Probably the same reason raw milk is illegal, eh?

Um no because if there was a market for wild meat then there would be huge incentive to poach for profit

IF you have a "friend" who hunts, ans IF that friend is successful (using legal methods), and IF that friend wants to gift you a couple of chops or a roast or some burger - then it is legal. No other way, unless you follow through with the required courses and licensing and then go get one yourself.
