Has anyone been out around Tumbler Ridge in the past few day , How moose activity around the area. Are they starting to rut ( calling, making wallows moving)?????????? Any info is great

A couple of guys on the field crew for the company I work for have told me they have come across a few wallows in the past few days. That is closer to Fort St John though.

it just started to get cold up there right now, my freind said they are starting to talk a little.

When we were up there, they were starting to talk, some were getting aggresive but not quite enough yet, but now I bet would be a perfect time, but the elk were bugling like hell!

I called a bull in down south, had a bit of "cow in heat urine"too, it was elk actually but he wouldnt take off, I thought I was gona have to shoot him. Lots of fun. Forgot the camera. They must be talkin up there!

The action around PG has been steadily increasing and I think that this weekend should be prime calling time. I'll be heading out for another week on Friday.
