Did anyone one harvest a bison yet? Our group was not successful on a bison but we saw lots of elk and some goats. Had a great time!

Thanks Brett, looking forward to it!! Its been way to quiet on the bison front this year, dont like this at all. Would love to hear a bunch of stories either way the hunts go.

Well folks, it's not sounding very good for Bison in 7-57 B!! A couple fellows hunted it hard for 10 days, hardly a track let alone a Tatonka!! 2 bison taken while they were up there, not much for snow. Should this change things if say 30cm fell before now and then? Moosin

I am not sure that anyone knows that one for sure. Maybe it may twig something with them.

Hey Moosin,
Are you in area A or B? I have a draw in A in December and have had a tough time getting ahold of anyone for accomodations. Where are you staying? Any updates on weather and snow when you get back would be appreciated. Oh and a successful Bison hunt post would be awesome too! Good Hunting!!!

Anyone else out there with info on snow or accommodations, I am looking...

Mike, not likely that 30cm will do any great movement except for some of the bison that are way back up in the mountains. The biggest cause of movement IMHO (and that has been the same on all 4 bison hunts) is the hunters invading the valleys. The herds move when the pressure is put on them in the first couple hunts and they head for the more secluded drainages off the Sikanni in area B. The last 2 hunts i have been on at this time of year, in 2005 and 2009 it has been the same story. No bison in the main valley, they have moved up the drainages to more quiet area's and thats where you'll find them now. They are always there but it takes more effort if there is not enough snow for a snowmobile. All the valleys and drainages are approx the same elevation so the snow depth doesnt come into play that much IMHO until maybe alter in the winter. Just my opinion, no data other then what i have witnessed in the 4 hunts.

I believe his draw is B, and I know for sure he is staying in a wall tent.
