Region 4 Moose Hunt.
I saw this one a couple of days prior. He took off too soon to get a shot off, but the wife and her dad found him feeding with another (unknown if cow or smaller bull) on the road. They ended up getting him just in the alders just off the FSR. Unofficially he measures 52".

The next day, after hardly seeing any deer at all, including any bucks, a group of does showed up. I figured why not, may as well for some sausage and pepperoni. 70 yard head shot, don't worry the good side of the head is shown....

2 days later the wife and her dad found this guy in the same area we saw a bunch of moose sign. A wee bit smaller but still a bull.

All in all a pretty good trip. We were chasing some elk before moose opening, but they were more interested in going into wherever they were going to. They were calling back to us, but we neve did get a glimpse at them.
Heard a pack of wolves, and tonnes of tracks, just no sightings. Saw one coyote.
While we were there there was at least 5 bulls harvested.
