Hey folks,

Here's a new petition on the Progressive Conservative's website to scrap the Gun Registry. It's possible legislation could be passed within the next few days to get rid of it. Please tell everyone to show support by signing. Thanks!

The PCs need public support on this, the Canadian Police Chiefs Assn have mounted a big campaign to retain the LGR.

Thanks for posting the link Ryan.

Signed.

You fellows should be forwarding the link to your e-mail contacts. Also if you use Facebook or similar media, post it up on there as well. Doesn't take long to make the rounds that way.

If you singned the petition,be prepared for a lot of political crap to come your way.Name,adress.postal code and e-mail adress. While I want to see the registry scrapped,I find this a political move to start asking those that signed for money to support the Conservatives.

Why do they need more public support? Nothing will change publicly from the last debate where it almost went down. They've made it an election promise. They have a majority in the house and the senate. A stupid internet poll won't be changing any ones mind on the subject. This just seems weird.

Instead of signing another pettion, I sent the conservative party an email and asked them why the bill to remove the long gun registry was not put forward in parliment as planned. i would encourage others to do the same.

Although I did note vote conservative based on the long gun registry issue alone, I am sure many people did and I think that the conservative parties credibility is a stake now.
