They're still running (okay...slithering )around in our vineyards. They won't den up as long as the daily high temps are where they are right now. Just learned this yesterday.... and was surprized like you.

You know I've searched high and low around Savona with my grandfather for one but have never been successful. He's fascinated by them... It's on his bucket list

Go to the other side of the lake around Copper Creek and walk along the railroad track in the spring or early summer. Bound to find them there. Other places? Arawana above Naramata, Rose Valley dam on the northside of West Kelowna and there are oodles of them in a canyon area east of Oliver on the road to Baldy. Look for where the power lines come down the hill, And I should not forget the Twin Lakes and Okanagan Falls areas, there too.

Same here, my foot was less than a foot from stepping on one.....turns out I can dance pretty good!

I found a pretty fresh shed skin from a 5'er the other day, Ive took pics, but then put the card in my t-cam....will post em later....

Seems more and more of them every year.
