Usually when I see one of these it's out of season.....this guy decided to come visit the other evening, so I decided to put an arrow through him.

Nice, know of few 2-pointers going down the last few days around here.

Had one scooped from right under my nose (almost)...I turned off main road into block...guy driving behind me goes around next corner, 3 bulls on the road...one was a 2x2...:icon_frow. Jerk wouldn't even let me help him drag it the 10 yards to the road .

Dam I hate these positive immy stories. I never see them. Big bulls, smaller bulls, cows, calves yes. I'll just have to keep on trying.

You just shot the last one. I was thought it was a old mythical tale told by old timers by a campfire. That why I only hunt moose when I have LEH. Can't see spending money when the odds are worst than lotto 649. Nice tho. Tender meat I bet

Absolutely awesome!!
Tough to find an immy. Tough to get close enough to kill a moose with a bow.
Together that's near impossible.

Congratulations on a rare success!!!

I've seen two bull moose so far this season.....

...both of them have been 3 x 3's. LOL if only I could find the elusive spike/fork!

Congratulations - especially for getting him with archery gear.

Now we need the full story - and don't skimp on the details.

Congratulations - especially for getting him with archery gear.

Now we need the full story - and don't skimp on the details.

Not too much of a story to tell - was perched in a stand for an evening hunt, doing a bit of calling. About an hour or so after hunkering down, said moose decided to come and say hello. Not sure if he was coming to the call or if he was just out for a stroll.

Either way, he was like a ninja - other than a few small twigs getting crunched when he was 25yds or so away, he was quiet as a mouse. Once he was in the clear and slightly quartered away from me, I sent my arrow off. Clipped both lungs and he made it 150yds or so......he's at the butcher's now!!

Congrats! Was just out cutting firewood, and treated myself to a sunset timber cruise for deer, and an immy ran onto the road and looked at me. Gun in the truck, HUGE two point.... NO TAG! lol
I watched him waddle into the bushes. was a helluva big 2 point. damn......
