Need Clarification

I was up in region 4 and was hunting in 4-34 & 4-35. Regs say at this time of year that whitetail bucks are open and bag limit is one. There is also right now a antlerless whitetail season open with bag limit of one. I took a doe other day and my interpretation is that I am now done for whitetail in that area. My hunting buddy who lives up there tells me that I can still take a whitetail buck? Can someone clear this up?

call and ask the co in that area and you will know for sure what is right or wrong, and not end up getting a fine, easy just call,, safer here you might get 100 diffrent answer from hunters,, so call Co,, first,, just a though,,

Read pg 48 of the regs. Your buddy appears to be correct regional bag limit for whitetail deer 2, with one being antlerless

Deer: The aggreate bag limit in the Kootenay Region is two.The bag limit for mule (black-tailed) deer is one. The bag limit for white-tailed is two, only one of which may be a buck, and one of which may be antlerless.

Yup, you can still take a White Tailed buck, but keep in mind if you do you're done deer hunting in Region 4 for the year which means you can't hunt mule deer.

You can still take a whitey buck. But that's the end of your deer season here..2 whiteys = no Mulie
