had a wawesome day with my son today ,here is his first buck,pretty proud dad o yeah .we were chasing two bigger ones when we spotted this guy standing broadside at100yds broadside ,he made a clean 1 shot kill, deer went about 20 ft .,1hr pack later we had him at the truck .total for the day on sightings was 7 does 7 bucks and 2 bull elk.i need to take him out more often if we keep having days like that.

not sure how much it weighed as we had to debone the front half to get it out ,all i know is i have some muscles i didnt know i had ,and yes my son helped with the pack too,there was remnants of snow kicking around nice and cool,gps said we were at 6800 ft,its quite narrow about 18inches wide but nice and heavy ,its actually a 6 x8 .thanx for all the great comments ,hope other fathers are taking their kids out as well this year
