Just got back from up north elk hunting. For the most part it was pretty slow. The elk were not co-operating at all. I think I only heard 2 or 3 bugles the whole week. Me and the old man were checking out a new winter road, and were working are way into where we were going to do the evening hunt when we bumped into this guy. I hit the binoculars and told my dad to get ready when i gave the word. Took us a little bit to confirm 6 points because he was standing straight on to us but eventually after a minute or two of me telling my dad "he's 6, shoot him, come on, shoot him", my dad finally decided to listen to me or he seen the 6th point himself, and when the elk put his head down to feed he let drive and put one high and hard.
