After days of planning and moving things around everyone in our group managed to free up the thanksgiving long weekend for our first mule deer hunt. The first day being very uneventful with us only seeing whitetail does, we decided to gain elevation and go where we thought the mule deer would be hanging around. the second day was amazing with me missing a chance at a two pointer from 15 meters :-D ( it was my first time hunting inside the trees) he saw me when I was shouldering the gun. The rush of seeing more than 20 deer less than 20 meters away without them knowing, was great (now I know why bow hunting is popular). the last day of the hunt we decided to sit at a place where we had seen lots of sign...It wasn't 1 hour after we sat down when I heard my buddy's gun go off (they were sitting 500 meters away).
