Adams river / shuswap

Hey i was told that if im fishing the mouth of the adams river / shuswap that i dont need that shuswap rainbow trout surcharge lisence if im not keeping any fish? Is this true?

Is it worth getting a huge fine or just paying a small fee for the tag.......

yes it is true from what I was told at the fly shop here in town .I have not researched it any further but have not fished there either .:)

i found out u only need the surcharge if u are planning on keeping any trout and or char. That is what the shop told me and what i read in teh regs.

You cannot keep any trout at the mouth of the Adams or the Adams river ever. It is always catch and release onlyl. The tag is for the keeping lake trout in the lake and out side the boundary of the mouth of the adams and little river.
Get a copy of the regs and read them carefully.
