How many guys harvest wild shrooms? No I'm not trippin' these days... What's your favourite fungus?

Here's a patch from elk country ~6,000 ft. I think they're Fried Chicken shrooms, but haven't grabbed them yet...

Haven't myself this year yet but a buddy laid a bunch of fresh chantrels on me last week. They disapeared into a chili and are no longer with us. lol

Shaggy manes are a bit of a chore to clean and they have to be cooked shortly after picking but they are damn good. They make a kick-ass mushroom gravy and are easily recognizable. Don't eat them if they are getting at all inky.

Saw a ton of shrooms while still hunting in pemby today . Saw three grouse too , but no shotgun or .22.
Its a shame , if I was a little more prepared it could of been a spectacular day , instead of just awsome .

Getting tonnes of shaggy's right now. Bad summer, puffballs weren't to be seen, but the blonde morels came out ok.
