Curious as to why there is opposite style seasons in 7A vs 6

7A

spike/fork bull GOS Sept10-Nov5
calf season Oct10-25
Cow LEH Oct 10-25

6

Any bull GOS Oct 20-26
22 day Any bull Bow only season Sept1-9, Oct1-8 (peak rut), Nov16-20
no spike/fork GOS (other than any bull GOS)
no calf season
no cow LEH

Why are they managed so differently? Both regions have good moose populations. Can anybody tell me the success rate in 6 vs 7A? Why harvest bulls only in one region and target cow/calves in the next?

I wish there were spikes in Reg 6. Just last week I busted 2 in an out of the way spot not even 1 km off the road in 6-30

Cause one dude in PG makes up the rules for 7 and some other dude in Terrace makes up the rules for 6. They aren't allowed to talk to each other.

While we're at it how come all of the sudden i have to realease all wild trout from streams on the island when there's more cut throat than fleas in the rivers around here, and no "hatchery opportunities" cause no one stocks trout in rivers up this way. They snuck that stoopid thing in last yr. .. idjuts

It's called having(or should I say "had") different regional managers. One uses science and the other uses (used) GO propaganda. Hopefully the new blood in Reg 6 will do good. Out with the bad air ...in with the good!
