For the second night in a row not even 100 ft from my backdoor there is a cow and calf feeding. My one dog is getting drove nuts by them being here and the Cow just ignores the barking. At least I know 1 calf will survive the fall....lol.

It has been here for 2 hours tonight. It may sound funny but I am not a very big supporter of the calf moose season, In my mind if they were to get rid of the season the general season might start looking up.

looks like you might have to venture beyond your patio if you want to get something this year.

I had a cow and calf in my yard as well. It took my lab pup about an hour to spot them. They wernt to worried about his fuss either. I have always wondered about the calf season as well. I know it would be great eats but I would feel bad to shoot one. I spotted 2 big bulls in an alpine basin years back and took one. The other big bull wouldnt leave. He kept circling me and calling to his fallen buddy. I felt bad for him.
