Well, we finally got 4 moose draws between 6 of us. We went early to miss the calf hunters and saw 1 calf and 1 small bull. Came home with nothing but great memories of a fine camping trip.

The rut was late, this week and next should be HOT!

Its a lot less work if you don't shoot anything. Maybe next time.

It was the same way around Fort St John. To hot, moose not rutting, came home empty handed.

Spent last week in 6-30 up the Kispiox. I busted 2 immies first morning but I wasn't on the LEH!! The only other bull seen is now in the cooler. Very slow for moose, but bears were everywhere.

The rut is not late it happens the same time every year, the weather conditions have the effect on the moose as to where you will find them not on when they rut. You have to change your tactics for the weather conditions and hunt differently according to the climate.
