when do ducks head out to the marsh?

i was planning to the marsh? i know that they go out to there pretty much all the time but when do the teal and widgeon head back to the roost? does it really matter upon the tides? or is it just a midday thing that they just go out to the marsh after they are done eating?...

I will have to guess that you are talking about the marsh at westham Island. If you are first light and last light are always good. Anytime can be good though,Just hunt the west end of the marsh on a falling tide and the east end on a rising.After a good freeze is the best when all the ditches are frozen. Good luck!
