On Saturday Oct 8-11, my brother and I headed out to the same area he shot a three point blacktail (Nov 11-2010). We left the house at 4:30 am arrived at the spot around 6:00 am. We waited till 6:45 am and started to walk the road watching tree line. Around 8:30 am we saw movement about 75 yard down a hill in older growth trees, there were two deer one that bolted and a buck the just looked at us, so...I shot him. The shot was a little forward through both shoulders :icon_frow, to my amazement he ran strait down the hillside . After waiting fifteen minutes we went looking for him and this is what we found :mrgreen: (thanks deer gods!)

No rain that morning, just the night before.
