Both Sides of kinabasket lake...a little overgrown in some spots. Took a bull off of the North side of the lake a few years ago. Saw another nice one taken from there as well and saw some others as well. There were some washouts that limited access on that side.
The otherside drainages such as groundhog and yellowjacket are not too bad either, saw lotsa deer and bear. White tails at the end of the lake towards town too.

Good Luck

You mean West side?... the reservoir runs North/ South with Valemount on the North end. Great moose/ bear country!!

Pretty much all hotels/ campgrounds etc would be hunter friendly! Last year we stayed at the "Twin Peaks Resort" cabins and they (people) were great as were the cabins. Kitchenette, full bath, deck, bbq, wifi, and a hot tub.

Lots of black bears and white-tails around Valemount. The mountains to the west of Valemount have goats. Moose very hard to find. Never seen elk around Valemount.

Lots of friendly people and places to stay in Valemount.

Good luck.
