moose still calling???

anyway with it still being the first week of OCT are the moose still calling or has it tapered off?? region 7

In region 3 we cow called a bull in last week. He didn't respond with any noise but came walking right in.

The calling is not really tapering off because I noticed this year they are not very vocal in my area they just seem to respond by walking in to see what's up, not much small talk at all. But as of last night at 6:15 pm they are still calling back.

not sure about region 7 but i know in 3-12 they are still answering to calls, i had a bull mosse grunting at me a week ago, thought i would see how close i could get seeing as how they arent open yet

yes the swamp donkeys are going strong,, strong enough they are challenging traffic on the roads, seen a couple of road killed bulls that were on the loosing end of the battle with O&G rig trucks this morning,,,,,,,,,, reg 7-20/ 7B :?

Ya in 3-12 closer to the okanagan does the rut go quite a ways into the open season? (Next week)

2 buddies just killed awesome bulls 3 days apart, called them right in and killed them at less than 20 yards with bows... they weren't the only ones called in either so yeah it must be going strong...

moose are going hard, and moving lots, got some good video today, had some close encounters, went out for elk with the wife once we heard the first moose we said the hell with elk and did some calling, and oh my what a day!
