So heres a picture of a large spike deer, i actually think this is a doe with spikes, i have quite a few pics of these two deer on the right side, it has a very mature looking head to just be a spike buck, IMO

ya its a big deer thats why i think its a doe,, those little spikes are still in velvet to, seeing that i am in no way a trophy hunter i might have to stick that if it comes by my stand, it does look pretty big and enough meat on it for me.,, oh ya check out my stand in the background

Can't tell from the pics what is what.

My buddy shot a doe with antlers in the Kettle 5 or 6 years back. Still makes for good laughs today!

I think he is talking about the deer standing broadside on the right. Also talking body size not antler size.

Gee Mark,,maybe you should have a better look at the picture, were not talking about the 2 point buck on the left, its about the other deer on the right, and whats with you always putting exclamation points after every sentence you type,, are you always yelling?

Does look like a doe with antlers. The body dwarfs even the two point buck on the left.

I know of 2 doe bucks similar to that one, that have been killed in the kootenays in the past 5 years! I seen one last fall that had spikes and a fawn with her, and I could verify the sex when she turned around. And I seen another one this year too.. the horns really never loose their velvet, and seem to have no burr at the base of the antler either...

Here in Canader we only count 1 side. I hope you don't have a freezer full of 2 point bucks in 4 point only season.

Something going on there, that's for sure.

.....and you're going to need an oxygen mask in that tree stand - it's really up there. ;)

lol,, i am just at 20' with that stand, my other stands i sit at 22', with this stand as i sit there i think i still may be in the elk vision range, i know i am safe with the deer as they have been there and i have hunted from stands for quite some time.

like 7mm RM said only one side of the antler is counted. thats why that deer is illegal in a four point season. hope no one shoots a two point in a four pooint season from lack of knowledge. i dont really care if you call it a four point or two point.

I think you're right. The deer has a mature and very slender face.
