View Full Version : My buddy's first moose

I went out this weekend to do some elk hunting. We found some sign but there was more moose than elk. We quadded down by a river then into a cut. We glassed the very back of the cut and we saw this.
My buddy Adam pulled the trigger on him at 2:00pm.He anchored his first moose.

2 hours later had him gutted and loaded up and coming out to camp which was 12kms away. In one of the many cuts we saw a big bull and a cow and a calf.

Next weekend calf season opens for moose so I'll try my luck then.

Jim what you doing on the 8th. I need a spike fork magnet to hunt with!!;) LOL!! Most guys see a couple 2 pointers in their lifetime, you see them regularily!! Go buy a lottery ticket!! Good job guys!! The usual spot Jim?? Moosin

congats not lots of those 2 pointers out there, but just a little thought, skip the calf season calfs are LITTLE with not lots of taste.
