Well yesterday was a big day for me! We slept in and didnt leave the house till 6am, but from 7am on we saw a whole lot of does. I spotted 2 high up on a bank, so me and hubby decided to hike up and see what we could see.
We hiked up and in, about a km, when we were busted by a doe and buck about 30 yards away. They took off, but not too far. I spotted the buck still standing there about 75 yards away, and figured it was now or never!
I lined up, took the shot, and then just waited. We could hear him thrashing around and so I was pretty sure I had a hit. We walked up, and there he was, only about 10 feet away.
It was a long drag out, and hubby had to do it as I am still recovering from a torn ac in my shoulder.
Its small, but it sure will be tasty!
