LEH Grou Moose Question.

Hey guys I cant quiet seem to figure out if even with a group leh moose hunt (we have 2 bull moose draws between 4 of us) can 2 out of the 4 still take an immature? along with the 2 bulls? or is it restricted to the 2 bulls.

any insight would be much appreciated..

If the area you are hunting is open for immature moose and 4 of you are hunting you can all shoot an immature moose and not use your LEH permits. Once your two LEH permits are used on a bull moose in the zone (not an immature), the two hunters who are not listed on the LEH permit as having shot the bulls, can shoot an immature but the other two hunters can't shoot it for them, as in the shared hunt.

In a nut shell...yes you could theoretically walk away with 4 bull moose...two spike-forks on GOS and two larger bulls on LEH...that is a lot of moose meat though!!

Yes, but it shouldn't be so....IMHO. If your bull moose hunting under a group hunt you shouldn't even be allowed to shoot an immy or calf....it was 2 for 4 you wanted and that should be all you are allowed to hunt!!!

All four are allowed to shoot and tag one moose. As soon as one shoots a moose, that person tags it and is done moose hunting for the season. Two must be immatures. Don't get greedy;)

Not trying to be Greedy was more of an argument that indeed I have won.... Case of beer my way!!! Its Hard to pass up on an immature when its standing right in front of you :)

Group LEH hunt.

I had a hunting partner who insisted we put in for a group hunt, that way all 4 of use can shoot any bull moose we come across. I said we are only allowed one mature bull moose for the group, so we would be better off putting our own LEH's in for the moose.

I'm I correct or was my buddy correct.
