Around Kamloops we've seen half a dozen grouse every time we go out. No shortage here for sure!

Not a great year around here (north columbia), wet spring lots of second hatches (small birds). Mostly getting spruce grouse.

SUAFOYT,
I echo that. My daughter and I were up one road last weekend that was absolutely dismal. In 30+ kms we saw 1 sprucy which she killed. Last year both kids limited out on this road in the first 15 kms mulitple times throughout the fall. The wet wet wet wet year we had seriously impacted the grouse. In the spring we had a ton of carry over from last year and even those adult birds must have had troubles with the amount of rain we've had.

I thought the wet spring/summer in region 8 would mean no grouse, but I've popped 11 so far this year, mostly fool hens.

In region 4, we saw one lone ruffie in 2 weeks - dismal there.

Been a good year so far in the South Okanagan. Went out the other morning and limited out in a couple hours. Saw a total of 16, mostly foolies. Have also seen lots of rabbits.

JDR,
I would have thought maybe the wet year would have hurt the bunnies as well, but nope, there are plenty of them around.

I've seen okay number in region 5. I've made two different trips up there, saw 4 the first trip and only one the next but I shot that one.

There was major ground shrinkage too, when I shot it, it must of weighed 3 pounds, tall bugger, but when I picked it up it was a little tiny grouse. Hahahah. Tasty anyways!
