New to hunting. In Kamloops. Always knew eventually I'd get my CORE/FAC done as I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors. My son is twelve and also loves the outdoors. I write my CORE test tonight. Have had my FAC for the past 14 years. I just recently bought a new Sako A7 270 with 3x9 Burris scope. For my son I just bought a new Henry lever action 22 rim fire with open sights. Tube mag that holds about 14 22 LR rounds. We had a great time yesterday at the Logan Lake range. Went through about 280 qty 22 rounds and 12 qty 270 rounds. I was quite surprised by the wallop from my 270. More kick than I expected. I'm new so, I'll get used to it. Plan to grouse hunt with my son as soon as I get my hunting number. Would love to preditor hunt this winter, and get down to the Kootneys for a wild turkey eventually.
My noob joke: Did you hear about the new tanks the French army ordered? 4 reverse speeds and 1 forward speed just in case they get attacked from the rear.
