I have a honda foreman 400. I have super swamper vampires on the rear (12x12x11). They are 90+% left on tread. Im looking for info on new tire for my front axle.

Would it be better to put 10" wide tires on the front or 8" tires on the front?

Also what tires would u recommend? I need a tire thats good in the mud and snow for hunting purposes. I was thinking about getting the interco swamplites

i love the Mudlites personally. can't beat a 6 ply tire for puncture resistants. A 8 inch front is going to be easier turning with not as good of flotation wheres as a 10 inch is the opposite. I personally run a 10 on the front because i hate getting stuck does take a lil more muscle to maneuver but id ride on snow with out sinking in too far.

I have the swamplites and love them...decent ride on the rough stuff and excellent in the mud. I have had zero issues with them. As for moving up sizes I did just that and regret it. I went and additional inch on height and moved from and 8 to a 10 on the front. It sucked the life outta my machine and ended up having to put in a clutch kit to compensate for the loss of power. I say stay stock unless you additional ground clearance. Bigger tires are also harder on your drive train...

I run Kenda Bearclaws with 10's on the front of my Honda 400, no complaints.

I would highly recomend the 8 PLY RADIALS..BAJA CROSS... bad ass, agressive tire 8PLY..and radial for soooooooooooooooo smooooothhhhhhhhhhhh drive..side walls are protected big time..

One of our members here in the lower mainland recomended them I talked with the MNF direct..it is their "best and longest lasting /aggeressive tire" and I love it..made my 500 feel like it had power steering...digs through mud and rides smooth..flat tire???I dont think so..not with this bad boy......Neehma???Eric is the guy @ the tire store..
