Seems that buying a Tikka t3 light in a 7mm08 is just about impossible these days. Why? Is it because the 7mm08 is gaining popularity within the hunting community or are they just not making manny of them.

I had the same problem 3 years ago with sako. I wanted 1 in finnlight but i could wait the 6 months i was told before i could get one so i settled on a sako 85 stainless synthetic

I wonder why more people aren't turning to the old 284Win? Now that we have such high BC VLD bullets available I don't think you can beat the 284WIN for most any LR and SR hunting scenario.

Definitely a chamber that should be on the come-back IMO

I bought one from Granlunds a few months ago. Left hand stainless, shot <1" right out of the box with handloads.

The 7mm is a way better bullet for the 308 case. The 7mm is so popular not just here in North America, but many folks are turning in the 6mm(.243) for the bigger 7mm-08. I have one I use for deer hunting and never use my larger caliber for deer any more. The 7mm-08 is made by most if not all manufactures of quality firearms.

IMO, Tikkas are now way overpriced. They shoot well but are built out of cheap material compared to their cousins; Sako. When i got my T3 lite (new) it was only 599$. Wouldnt want to pay much more than that for one.

buford, any chance you are going to figure out which forum is the correct one to start threads in? I've moved a number of your threads and from now on they will just get locked when in the wrong forum. thanks
