Anyone been by the vedder river this morning? Just wandering what the conditions are like with all the rain we have had this morning.

Next week if the heavy rains predicted hit the valley is when the river might blow out. As it looks right now, with the hordes of fishermen hitting the Vedder this weekend, I would say to bring your own rock to stand on, as it will be crowded.

I know this is old but I was out this afternoon and it was gorgeous! Lots of big fish jumping near my spot but not so much as a nibble

I'm thinking I might hit the river after class this morning. Any advice for tackle? I've been using green wool with some roe but I haven't had even a nibble yet.

light peach wool. keep it small. or spinniners(colorado blades).

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately it was pretty nasty most of the day so I didn't end up going out.

Good call..... depending on water clairity, I've always done best with wool ties about the the size of a large pea. Peach is deadly in most water I also like the wool the same color as house insulation... and if you fish real frothy water I like Lime green, but keep it small. IMO try the more out of the way area's not the traditional runs and deep holes. Current seams and pocket water is always been my favorite Coho water.

Just got back from there yesterday. It appears things have slowed down quite a bit from earlier this week. Maybe some good rain will bring in another big batch.

Yeah I was up above the Fraser on the Harrison on Saturday and it was pretty dead. Saw a few jumpers, but mostly old dead ones.

Still coho coming thru the vedder last couple of days. Not like the glory done by 10:30 days but just the die hards out there now so you can have just about any run you want to yourself.
