Great story! Some horses have guts, and really trust their riders. My best friend and both had large horses, and would chase black bears with them, trying to poke the bears in the ass with long poles, they seemed to enjoy the chase, but I don't know if the horses would go after grizzlies with as much enthusiasm....I know both of us wouldn't even consider it.
