Its been a couple weeks since my initial scouting trip to my pack hunt area and I have bee informed that I might be heading on my hunt a bit late (end of sept) as a lot of the alpine forage might be dried up due to lack of rain.

Has anyone been up in the alpine in this area (marble range Clinton)? How does the vegetation look?

Dry, dry and dry. There was some rain a few days ago and even a dusting of snow up there. Now we have had heavy frost and dry windy conditions. I would expect that most veg above treeline to be pretty dried up. It will be scenic nonetheless...
