View Full Version : Northern BC deer areas
What would be the better area for deer, Chetwynd, Hudsons Hope, Dawson Creek or Tumbler Ridge? Never been up there before. Is it more mulies or whitetail? I know most go up there for moose but we might try some deer hunting up there to see some new country.

All of the above, There are Whitetails and Mulies in all of those areas.
Any of the places you have mentioned have both species and great opportunity, a lot of people hunt deer on private land up here.

If your going, go up in November, that way you have a choice between mulies and whitetail and the rut will be starting. Back a few years ago, deer season was from Nov1-Nov20. Not long, but was great for the rut and trophy class bucks..Hunt those foothills between the farmland and timber..Good luck.
