So I'm leaving for a goat hunt in 2 weeks and had started laying out my gear and of course my d*mned dog gets ahold of my leupold bino's and chews:evil: the living sh*t out of them. Now I NEED suggestions. do you think Leupold can fix something this far gone? Or am I completely boned? I have a feeling theres nothing I can do.

Leupold warrentied a gold ring spotting scope my dog chewed. The leupold customer service guy told me its the same rubber as used in kong dog toys.

Then why is it that a I've never had any luck getting a dog to chew a dog toy, but the very same animal will chew anything and everything it's not supposed to? AAaaagggghh!

Are the bino's still functional? Or is the damage beyond cosmetic?

Same dog who did the scope did a rangefinder as well.

Will your house insurance cover it? It surprising what thye cover sometimes - my wife left our lab puppy in the truck a bit too long one day and she chewed the leather shifter knob, the steering wheel, and the signal lever. It was $2300 in damage and all I had to pay was the deductible. It worth a try.

Seconded. So glad my dog doesn't pull this kinda crap. :(

How old's the dog? Is it still a pup/canine-teen? Man.. I'd lose my head if my pooch chewed anything of mine it wasn't supposed to..

stuff getting chewed by your pooch is part of having a pooch.especially if you forget to put your gear out of reach, its the same with kids they see your binos/range finder /hammer /toothbrush they wanna play with it.
