I am
I will be doing a pack hunt for mule deer in the Clinton area at the of Sept. We will be hunting in the alpine (8000 ft). The hike in is fairly moderate...about 5km at a reasonable slope and 1km steep(pack mule steep). I have back packed for quite a few years and I have hunted all my life but never both togeather and never this late. Was wondering if anyone has some words of wisdom to pass on regard to....
-Any lessons you have learned about this type of hunting...What you would try differently.
-Things to consider from the camp perspective.
-Things to consider regarding meat care and transport.
Also hoping someone can refer a good meat cutter with cooler facilities in the area...You never know. :)
Any advice is appreciated?
