Flights start at about $700.00 each way for the plane. Can take around 1000 lbs depending on destination.

Flew with Keith this fall. Was $9 a mile (x4 remember for drop off and pick up) and could carry 1200lb. But new laws won't let him fly an external load with passengers. So if your antlers won't fit in the plane it's another x2 to fly them out.

Interesting, didn't hear about that. Are you sure it's 'law' (transport) or insurance related?

Ohhh, im not to sure if it was law or insurance, Keith was saying how it came into effect this year. We had a set of caribou antlers that we figured we could haul externally, until he informed us. He did say he might get away with one passenger and say it was a "helper". Sure adds alot of $$ if a guy tags a big bull.

coming out of a caribou hunt with Bruce a few years ago in his plane..me, Bruce, 2 entire caribou, including racks one was 397 and change plus all the gear for 4 guys..everything in one shot from a high small mtn lake...think he was using a turbo? Beaver??nothing was on the outside as external cargo....landing on Dease Lake...

Just bring your measuring tape so you can decide whether to split the antlers or not. If it's high in the record book you'll have to pay to play.
