Well it all started with the LEH results & a few phone calls. My family was lucky enough to get two ram tags and the planning started. First thing on the the list was it was now time to get into sheep shape & fast for the old man, next was all the usual stuff, but once i started fitting chad for his pack, i could see the excitement was starting to flow.Gun choice was next. Ofcourse he wanted the biggest and that was that, but dad was able to talk him into the smaller calibre & lighter gun for this hunt so we settled on the 7-08 Remington ,wich Chad was very confertable with.
The day to leave final arrived, truck & trailers were packed the night before & when we awoke in the morning what did i find ANTIFREEZE, Halt ,check it out a run to the parts store a new water pump 3 hrs later and away we go.

There were all sorts of stories on the way up and before you no it we were there.camp was set up quick and we started glassing

We were there a couple a days early, the weather was hot and no sheep were seen.We decided to make a move & try some new area ,there were many ewes & lambs but nothing to big .It was shure neet to see the excitement on Chads face when we started to see sheep

And after a few days we finally spotted some rams,We decided to try a stock but by the time we got in there they were gone ,It was getting late and we needed to get out

The next day was much the same a few ewes and lambs
http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy31/silvertipp/IMG_3170-Copy.jpg
and very hot
So we had a quick snoose under the trees and when we awoke it was back to glassing,it took awhile but out of nowere they showed up again ,six rams & one was a dandy. After a quick discussion it was decided to put theses boys to bed and come back in the a.m
Back at camp it was decided i would glass & my brother and Chad would make the hike in.We Started to hike at 3:00 am. hopeing to make it in by first light,
i got across the valley hiked in & set up.First light came and the excitement was soon gone when there was no sheep to be seen, they were gone

Not wanting to give up on these guys we decided to poke around to see if they showed up,no such luck.So around noon i decided to have a snooze & when i woke up it was back to glassing Holy Shttt there they are way down low in the creek botton ,but this time its only four and mister big is leeding the pack
now i had to signal the boys & try to figure out a stock .They were an hour away from where we wanted to be and the rams were comeing fast, straight up.Poor wind made them change plans and now the woods were as thick and ugly as they get.I never thought watching through the scope could possiblie be so stressfull
But after an hour they were getting into good shape. But now they were pegged mister big got up and stood there and the other rams took of.Shots rang out & down he went.If any one could see me on that ridge they would of thought i was nuts

Now he was about to learn about the hike out ,by the time we caped ,dressed & packed everything it was getting late. They couldnt find the trail and it was a tuff go.Chad was alittle scared they werent on the right trail and it was now dark, scared and heavy packs i started to question myself if i was asking to much of him.
He was with my brother and i couldnt ask him to be with anyone better on the hill,a quick talk on the radio and he had made it clear he did not want to stay on the mountain and he would suck it up & hike out ,i found them at 9;00pm swapped packs and made it to the truck at 11:00 pm
the next day followed in some much needed rest, picture & capeinghttp://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy31/silvertipp/IMG_3176.jpg
If your wondering about the pants and shoes these pictures were taken the next day

well thanks alot guys it was a trip we will never duplicate as these tags are like hens teeth to get
Second off i just noticed the dates on our cameras are way out but we had three differant cameras and i could care less about dates
the bigger ram is at rays shop as he is going to do a awsome mount for us ,i dont have the numbers but i did a quick measure on him in the field and got close to 36"out of him ray scored him ealie and said he just misses the book at 160
and yes both rams tags were for the same region but came from much differant hills
