Zone 4-23 elk

I'm older and an average huner at best but was fortunate in drawing a cow elk tag for region 4-23 Zone A in the Fernie/Sparwood area for early October. I see its a very small area and was wondering if anyone could provide me with and guidance, suggestions, or whatever. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

This is a tough hunt.
Dad had this draw 2 years ago.
We did see elk but almost all were on mine property.
We did see 1 nice 6 point but it went to fast before we could shoot.
The bow hunters pushed the elk around pretty good before we got there.
Try near the mine boundary and maybe one will come out to where you can shoot.
