Grouse hunting in region 8

sept 10 11 grouse hunt, ended up bagging 19 grouse between the 3 of us!

Just had this delicious " GROUSE KARAHI"

Ingredients:

tomatoes
ginger/garlic paste
Garam masala
cooking oil
red chilli powder
salt
black pepper
green chillies
coriander powder
a few drops of lemon juice.
served with whipped yogurt (raita) and Bread (roti)
cooked for about an 30 mins and there u have it, Mouth watering, Spicy grouse karahi!!!!

Those are some big drumsticks on those birds. Nice Xterra too, I've got an '04. My buddy and I were in Region 8 the same week as you and we got 28 blues and one Hare. Which MU did you guys hunt? I was around Princeton.

28 blues!!! great going. there were 4 of us and we would have easily limit out on both days of our hunt but we hesitated at first as we were initially going after deer, but after no luck finding one and the hot sun beating down us we decided to go for it. We were around Christian valley!

Nice birds..
I guess the cold spring didn't effect the interior too much.
I'm telling hubby that the interior will be my next destination next years grouse hunt, and maybe a good deer hunt too.

nope! didn't seem to effect the grouse infact, this is the first time we have seen this many grouse at our honey hole, we only used to see a couple of them untill now.

Ooops, that should have read 22 Blues. My math was off a bit haha. But still a good number of birds taken and MANY more that got away, I'm definitely going back to that area.

I just came back last night from that area, definately good grouse country! We took 10 grouse in just the first 2 hours....

Congrats on the grouse everyone, I've had only 6 so far.. Mostly hunting big game anyway
